Dr. Schmidt has been serving the eye care needs of the Maple community for over 20 years. Her extensive knowledge and experience has changed the lives of her patients in diagnosing and treating eye conditions and helping patients see their best!
She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science and the University of Waterloo with a Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Schmidt received her therapeutic certification from the University of Houston. She is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, Canadian Association of Optometrists and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. She is enjoys performing detailed eye examinations for the whole family including children as young at 6 months of age. The time she takes with each patient has allowed her practice in Maple to grow and flourish and is one of the most respected optometrists in the area. She speaks German.
Dr. Ly graduated from Mc Master University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree and the University of Waterloo with a Doctor of Optometry degree. She pursued her therapeutic externship at Lexington KY and has attended missions with ICare International. She is a strong communicator and takes her time to develop good doctor patient relationships. She is a well-respected member of her profession. Dr. Christine Ly speaks Cantonese.
Dr. Sgro is a long time resident of Vaughan having attended grade school and high school in Woodbridge. She worked at Maple Eyes for many years before pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming an optometrist. She graduated from the University of Waterloo in Biomedical Sciences in 2013 and went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree, also at the University of Waterloo, graduating on the Dean's Honour List. She completed an ocular disease externship at Eye Centers of South Florida where she managed many ocular diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration and dry eye disease. She has a keen interest in eye disease management including visual rehabilitation for those with vision loss. Dr. Jessica Sgro is presently completing a residency in Low Vision at the University of Waterloo. She is currently seeking patients at our clinic on Saturdays and looks forward to taking care of your eye care needs. She speaks Italian.
