We Take the Time to Get to Know You

At Maple Eyes, our optometrists believe in looking at the big picture when it comes to your eye health. We take the time to get to know you and your family, taking into account your complete vision history and your specific vision needs.

Whether you need a routine eye examination, a contact lens fitting, treatment for an eye problem, have an eye emergency or you require surgery, our optometrists will provide you with exceptional care, advice, options and follow-up care. If there’s ever anything we can do to better serve your vision care needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us and let us know!

Our Vision Care Services

Offering quality vision care services for patients of all ages, our services include:

Comprehensive & pediatric eye exams: Learn more about what problems can be spotted with an eye exam, what’s involved in a comprehensive exam, and special considerations for children and the elderly.

Consultations for red, pink or sore eyes: Did you know your optometrist can help you with red eyes, pink eye or sore eyes? You don’t have to go to your primary care physician for help with these issues. Our doctors can prescribe eye drops if you need them.

Foreign body removal: From the occasional eyelash that gets in your eye to a piece of grit or even a metal shard, you may find yourself with something in your eye that needs to be removed.

Management of ocular diseases (glaucoma testing, macular degeneration treatment, etc.): We will arrange extra testing or surgery if needed for a variety of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts.

Digital retinal imaging: Used to detect diseases such as diabetes and macular degeneration, digital retinal imaging is critical to confirming the health of the retina, optic nerve and other retinal structures.

Dry eyes treatment: Dry eyes result from the chronic lack of lubrication and moisture on the surface of the eye, which can cause minor irritations, an inability to wear contact lenses and an increased risk of corneal inflammation and eye infections.

OCT retinal scans: An Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan is a non-invasive, painless test that can help optometrists get a clear look at your optic nerve and macula.

Refractive surgery co-management: We will determine if you are a candidate for LASIK eye surgery and will work alongside a laser surgery centre to help manage your LASIK needs.

Eye emergencies: Eye injuries range from the very minor, such as getting soap in your eyes, to something more serious like a piece of metal in your eyes. We treat a wide variety of small eye emergencies regularly.

Sports & specialty eyewear fittings: We have sports eyewear to protect you from injury while having fun. Sports eyewear includes squash goggles, soccer goggles for children, tennis sunglasses, golf glasses and more. We can also inform you which contact lens or eyeglass lens option can give you the clearest vision and a competitive advantage.

Visual field testing: Our visual field testing measures the quality of your peripheral vision, which can be damaged in incidences of stroke or glaucoma

Now performing myopia control services and ortho-keratology: Please ask our doctors what can be done to prevent your children's myopia from worsening. We now have information that specific soft multifocal lenses and rigid gas permeable lenses may be utilized to reduce the progression of myopia.
